Compton & Wendler Adds Forensic Accounting Consultant Patrick Smith

HOUSTON – Compton & Wendler, P.C., is happy to announce that Patrick Smith has joined the firm as a forensic accounting consultant.

Mr. Smith joins the firm after having previously served as a Strategy & Analytics Consultant with IBM in Boston, Massachusetts. In this role, he assisted in the implementation of IBM’s Watson system in the oil and gas industry. As part of Compton & Wendler, Mr. Smith will be assisting with both asset and equity valuations, as well as on forensic accounting cases. The variety of projects he’ll be working on will make him an indispensable member of the Compton & Wendler team.

Mr. Smith attended Texas A&M University, where he earned both a BBA and a MS in accounting. During his time there, he was president of the school’s International Business Association, as well as a member of the Professional Program of Accounting.

“One of the things that excites me most about this role is the breadth of projects I’ll be working on,” Mr. Smith said. “It gives me the opportunity to do what I love, as well as learn from a group of very accomplished professionals.”
